Lord Mayors 5km Norwich Richard Heath ran 17.00 dead to finish 14th in the Lord Mayors 5km at Norwich Colchester Parkrun Ian Haws ran a personal best 19-03 to finsh 3rd in the Colchester Castle park run, Allen Smalls was 4th, Danny Millward 6th, Ellie mayne 8th and first lady, and Ethan Thrower 12th. Southern Athletics League: Walton

For their latest venture, Colchester Harriers senior team were in action at a sun baked Walton track. To the delight of team managers; Helen Holdsworth and Linda Garnham, they returned home with a close victory over the host club. Thereby ensuring their safety and a possible top five finish for the season.   Leading the way in the match with a comprehensive win in the Hammer, along with a club senior and under 20 record of 59.03 metres was James Hamblin. A massive well done to Rebecca Jeggo, Philippa Davenall and Callum Mckay from Colchester Harriers who have  made the Essex team for the English Schools championships at Gateshead in July. Welsh Mountain Trail half and Marathon Shewbridge has fine run Coed Brenin forest in Mid Wales was the venue for one of the toughest events in Wales the Welsh Trail half and  Marathon 1200 runners competed in this extremely well managed race. Three Harriers took it on with Laura Shewbridge clocking 1-54 over the course which included the mountain bike trails and long rocky paths and hills. Fantastic Dowell is first lady Mellissa Dowell produced a fantastic performance to win the Wasdale lake District Ironman advertised as the deepest, steepest, highest, hardest marathon in the world . Dowells start time was 3 in the morning for a 2.5 mile swim in the deepest  coldest water in Britains lakes Wasdale screes . Harwich Millward shows incredible talent Danny Millward is only 13 but is a star in the making , Millward ran an incredible 17-39 at Harwich road 5km lopping nearly a minute off his best. Joseph Boden another youngster clocked 19-06. Other notable runs here were Richard Boden 19-07, Richard Millward 19-57, and Steve Clarke 21-48. A small team travelled to Southampton for the 3rd Southern Athletics League match of the season. The team rallied very hard in a close match to finish 3rd just 1.5 points behind 2nd. The match culminated with the relay races where the club excelled winning 3 out of 4 of them. All club members got behind their teammates in some great battles. The men won their first senior relays of the season - the 4x100m team of Joe Wilkin, Jake Young, Connor Oliver and Tom Mitchell, and the 4x400m team of Oliver, Young, Jack Keane and Matt Rose fought hard to stave of tough opposition.
