Colchester Harriers had 3 representatives at the national under 15/17 England Athletics championships, held at the Bedford international stadium.

Up first was under 15 boy Mufaro Sharvin in the 100m, where he clocked a time of 11.69 and just missed out on a place in the next round.

Philippa Davenall was unlucky to miss out on the medals in the under 17 women’s hammer competition, throwing 55.39m to finish 4th in a competition that produced national records and championship bests.

Rebecca Jeggo also performed well on the national stage, making it through to the final of the under 17 women’s 200metres in a time of 25.61secs.
