Success at British Masters Indoor and Winter Throws Championships

Two Harriers donned their green vests to compete at the British Masters Indoor and Winter Throw Championships over the weekend of 10th & 11th March at Lee Valley.

Both Colin Ridley and Rob Earle competed in the Men’s 55 category; with Ridley coming away with two splendid podium placings with a silver in the 3000m in time of 9.47.73  and a bronze in 1500m in a time of 4.37.19.

Rob Earle had a very successful weekend bringing home two glorious gold medals from Shot (12.93m) and the Hammer (49.86m). Speaking after the event Earle said “I didn’t expect to win the Shot, through the lack of focused training, but had a good battle with second place…Hammer was technically comfortable, but more pleasing it was the longest throw for all age groups over the weekend.”
