U17 Inter Counties – Marlow
5 of Colchester Harriers athletes were selected to represent Essex in the recent U17s Inter Counties competition recently in Marlow Buckinghamshire.
Tom Mitchell capped a fine season so far with a magnificent PB throw of 51.01 finally cracking the 50meter mark in really blustery conditions. To come 2nd overall.
Millie Belbin made her well deserved debut in the Essex vest competing in the Long Jump and Triple Jump. She managed 4.91 in the long jump to finish a fine 3rd and 10.10 in the triple Jump coming 4th
Philippa Davenall showed what good form she is in at the moment with another mighty throw in the Hammer winning the competition with a throw of 56.55 and 1st place.
Rebecca Jeggo competed in the 100 & 200 meters coming 3rd in the 100 in 12.67 and 3rd in the 200 25.93. Rebecca also took part in the 4 x 100 relay along with Millie Belbin helping the team to 5th place.
Jake Young went in the 800 and found the blustery conditions tough going coming in 7th in 2:04.80 Jake also competed in the 4 x 400 with Essex boys needing to win to win the match. In a highly exciting race Jake bought the baton home to win the race, and the match for Essex.
