Team win for Harriers at Sudbury 5

Colchester Harriers swept to the team prize at the Sudbury Good Friday 5. Allen Smalls led the team home in 4th spot also winning the veteran category in 28:06, 2nd claim James Wright was 5th in 28:09, while the winning team was made up of Colin Ridley 9th 28:44, Paul Rodgers 10th 28:45 and Paul Preston 11th 28:45. Marie Shirley returned to form in runners up spot clocking 31:36. Other Harriers were Wayne Cook 30:19 (Pb), Tom Cresswell 30:24, Drew Olley 31:30, Simon Smith 32:37 and Rachel Rodgers 46:54.

Park Run

It was double victory for Harriers at the Harwich Park run with Paul Rodgers 17:34 and Fran Norris 22:35 the victors, David Wright was 4th 19:17 and Rachel Richardson-Wright clocked 31:20.

It was Personal best time for Max Caulfield running 17:33 at Colchester Castle to finish runner up in a field of 404, Milly Presland was the ladies winner in 20:38 another personal best, with Richard Boden and Tim Ballard finishing in the top 10.

Wayne Cook was 2nd at Great Cornard Park run in 17:40, while Mark Harrod won the Mersea Event in 18:06 with Richard Flutter 5th 19:17, Debbie Cattermole 22:111 suffered a rare defeat finishing runner up on the day, Simon Smith was 10th and Russell Goodridge 11th.

315 runners took to the line at the Maldon Promenade Park run and Colchester Harriers Andy Raynor was runner up in 18:28. Dan Foster was 9th along the windy Clacton sea front event in 20:44.

Malcolm Statham completed marathon 196, clocking 3:24 at the Barrow event.
