Personal best from Rodgers in hot conditions

Paul Rodgers led a good turn out of Harriers at the Bromley 10km, which was run in hot conditions over a very flat course and well staged by Harwich Road runners. Rodgers finished 6th overall in a personal best time of 35:36, a superb effort over the hot roads and was also first veteran over 40. Young Danny Millward was 12th in another personal best of 37:26, with Keith Marley not far behind in 37:40 for 14th. Another youngster max Caulfield was 19th in 38:00 dead, then came experienced Andy Raynor 38:08 and teenager Fergus Crouch 27th 38:38. Good effort also came from 28 Craig Mitchell 38:56, 31 Richard Boden 39:03, 36 Alex Sales 39:15, 44 Jamie Nelson 39:38, 47 David Wright 40:01, 51 James Waterson 40:51, 58 Richard Millward 41:26, 59 Jerry Walder 41:26, 67 Simon Smith 42:10, 85 Ady Frost 43:07, 90 Ffion Harris 43:20, 96 Dan Wilkinson 43:38, 114 Arthur Whiston 45:00, 131 Lee Caulfield 46:05, 204 John Wheatley 51:25, 408 Rachel Rodgers 70:35.

Best park Run results from the weekend were Milly Presland first lady at Romford in 20:48, Jon nears 17:52 was 2nd at Colchester Castle in the 4th year Anniversary race (407 ran). Richard Heath was 3rd in 18:09 and Ian Haw 4th 18:27. Laura Shewbridge was the ladies winner in 19:15, with Amanda Henry runner up 20:46.

At Great Cornard Wayne Cook was runner up in 17:40, with Richard Flutter 5th in 18:40. Sarah Ivory was 2nd lady 20:47.

Ramadam Osman set a new mersea park run record clocking an astonishing 16:04, with Mark Harrod 3rd in a personal best 17:44 and Ziggy Lambton 4th 18:34.

Malcom Statham ran his 195th Marathon in 3:36 at Haverhill, while Rachel Richardson-Wright competed in the Doggellau park run and Harlech Triathlon in mid wales.
