Smalls wins again

Smalls third marathon victory in four weeks

Colchester Harriers Allen Smallls continued his amazing run of victories with yet another marathon win. This time over the extremely tough Stour Valley course from Nayland, Smalls clocked 3:13 over the 27 miles course and was well clear of the second placed runner. Smalls won the Essex marathon at Halstead and the Howgill race in the lake district and then followed this up with a fine 6th place at the Keswick 25km Mountain race, before charging to victory again at the Stour Valley event. Also doing well at Stour Valley was Craig Mitchell 4:10 who only started training for the event 3 weeks ago, then came Simon Smith 4:11, Malcolm Statham 4:22 and Anita Mussett and Lydia Cunningham who ran a solid race in the hot conditions.
