Carwyn runs personal best at London 10km
The London 10km saw a huge personal best from Colchester Harriers Carwyn Jones who clocked a superb 32:40 at this iconic race finishing close to Buckingham Palace.
Martyn Clarke ran the Luton park run in 19:11 for third spot then travelled to Buxton where he was placed 32nd in a very tough half marathon in 1:31:50.
It was first overall for Mark Harrod at the Great Notley Park Run clocking 17:47, while Hannah Watson was first lady at the Maldon event in 20:08 (Pb), Arthur Whiston was 16th overall in 20:30.
Laura Shewbridge was also a winner running her best ever time at the Colchester Castle event of 19:00 and was 8th overall of the 329 finishers. Harriers also had the second and third ladies in Stacey Eyres 19:58 and Helen Bloomfield 20:25. For the men Danny Millward was runner up in 17:41, with Dan foster 5th 18:50, just outsprinting David Wright 6th 18:52. Keith Marley was 9th 19:04, with new signing Craig Hurley 10th 19:11 and Richard Boden 11th 19:16. Other Harriers were 12 Ben Halls 19:27, 25 Jerry Walder 20:36, 47 Heidi Steele 21:53, 66 Madeline Claydon 23:08, 68 Noah Cox 23:17, 72 Sandra Fox 23:22, 202 Martyn Claydon 29:48, 207 Rachel Richardson-Wright 30:04 and 241 Fay Smalls 31:15.
Great Cornard Park run was a pacer event and Chris Manby, Debbie Cattermole, Simon Smith and Wayne Cook were all pacers on the day. Drew Olley was 3rd in 18:59 and Cathy Bishop was pleased with 25:19.
