Silverstone Half Marathon

Shirley close to Personal Best

Colchester Harriers Marie Shirley, who was a triple Essex medallist from the previous week’s Essex 20 mile race, carried her form to the Silverstone half where she clocked 1:26:23 along with team mate Paul Preston, the course was 200 metres too long so Shirley would have claimed a best ever time if Silverstone had correctly measured the course. Ady Frost ran well in a personal best time of 1:29:49, with Sharon Frost on her Harriers debut clocking 1:53:52.
