Ladies have a clean sweep

It was a 1,2,3, for the Harriers ladies at the Castle Park 5km race, with Rebecca Cooke winning in 20-18, followed by team mates Amanda Henry 20-47 and Rachel Dale 20-57. Jackie Macllanen made her Harriers debut in 22-02 as did Sandra Fox in 23-19.

For the men in a field of 333, Danny Millward broke 18 minutes for the first time with the 14 year old clocking 17-57 for 2nd place overall. Two more youngsters also clocked personal bests with Max Caulfield 4th in 18-37 and Joseph Boden 14th in 19-18. Established runners John Fryer was 5th in 18-51, and David Wright 8th in 19-01. Other Harriers were Richard Boden 19-26, Chris Manby 19-35, mark Penson 20-00, Richard Millward 20-36, Dan Wilkinson 21-43, Brian Smith 24-09, Charlie Walder 25-13 and Jerry Walder 25-14.

At Hackney Marsh 5km Martyn Clarke was 11th in 19-07 while Simon Smith had his best ever finish runner up at the Harwich Park Run in 20-06, Hannah Watson was runner up at the Chelmsford event in 19-53, with Annette Oakman 8th in 22-02.
