New record for West

Colchester Harriers Pete West got the weekend off to a good start by setting a new 50-54 record at the Maldon Promenade park run in 18-36 in windy conditions, Hannah Watson was first lady home in a personal best of 20-48. At the Colchester Castle 5km, Laura Shewbridge was first lady and 11th overall in 19-40, while the men saw 8 green vests in the first 12 home, 3 Anthony Barraclough, 5 Mark Harrod, 6 Ethan Thrower, 7 Lee Hykel, 8 Harry Varela 19-06 (Pb), 9 David Wright, 10 Andy Raynor, and 12 Danny Millward.

Burleigh 20 mile obstacle race

Martyn Clarke ran very well in the Burleigh 20 mile obstacle race, 4000 runners took part in waves of 250, and Clarke finished 2nd in his wave and 124th overall, it included a swim across a reservoir , 8ft climbing walls and a lot of mud.

Redricks triathlon

Rachel Richardson-Wright completed the tough sprint distance Redricks triathlon at Sawbridgeworth in a good time.

Leeds Half

Sara Wallace knocked a huge chunk off her personal best half marathon time clocking 1-39 at the Leeds event.
