Draft minutes of Committee Meeting held at 7.45pm on Tuesday 10 October 2017 at Garrison Club House, Colchester, Essex.

Club President Lance Williams welcomed Committee Members and invited members. Secretary Dave Smith unable to attend.

Sally Dobson updated the Committee on a Junior event taking place at the track on Saturday 14 October 2017. Event would include a run, jump and throw. Costs.to the Club minimal

JUNIOR AWARDS

At 7pm onFriday 24 November 2017 at Stanway Rovers Football Club, New farm Road, Colchester.

POSSIBLE FUTURE EVENT.

Sunday lunch after training at Club House. Committee agreed good idea and asked for member to make further enquiries re suitable date, liaise with Club House management and obtain costs.

CLUB EQUIPMENT

Sally volunteered to check  club equipment held at Track and requested members/coaches notify her of equipment held. Will also update Committee of needs and wants.

CLUB KIT

Lance raised concerns re emails circulating re additional Club Kit. he informed Committee that he had visited a company in Colchester that had been approached by a member for additional items of kit including Hoodies and Beanie Hats. Lance had spoken with manager and stated he was impressed with company and service they can provide. Samples at meeting for viewing. Agreed to obtain samples with Club logo and name. Small cost to Club, Club vests to be obtained from present suppliers.

TRACK USERS MEETING

Garrison Management arranging track users meeting in near future and Club invited to attend. Leaked information suggests restricted use of track lanes for safely reasons. Membership levels on increase and there are concerns re additional numbers. Additional membership to be strictly limited for time being.To be discussed at further meeting when more information known.

UNIVERSITY MEMBERS

Discussion re students using track on Thursday evenings for training and possible representation in competition. Dominic King to lease with University with suggested training slot from 8pm to 9pm. This would be an additional financial cost to the Club. Dominic to report back to Committee.
