Several events now use the Roster online entry system, including but not limited to, County Championship events, Essex Saturday Cross Country League, and Open Meets that are available for individuals to enter themselves.
We would recommend setting up the account for your children prior to entries needing to be made, as the process can take a little while, and people have missed closing dates before by leaving it till the last minute.
To start the account set up you need to visit this link https://meets.rosterathletics.com/public/signup
Follow the instructions to create a login for the parent, as the parent needs to be the main account holder
Once you have completed setting up your login, and verified it, then go to the Account link, and select Athletes & relays, from here there is an Add Athlete/relay option, which then brings up Add Athlete, select this to add your athlete.
A new window opens, add the required information, First Name, Surname, Male/Female, Date of Birth, Add Club/School, select Country (or start typing in the field), select Colchester Harriers AC (or start typing it), then you will be able to click Save and depending on the childs name read the disclaimer and choose Accept.
Now the athlete is in the account, repeat for any additional athletes.
Now when an event is open for entry, you can login to the event on roster, which you will likely have been provided the link for this event at the time. Then on the event page there is a Registration link, click that and read and agree to any T&Cs and anti-doping, and a window with your athletes will open, then you are guided step by step, select the athlete you wish to enter, and then select which event(s) you wish to enter them into, there maybe sometimes be multiple events, but usually you can checkbox them all so that you do not have to repeat many times.
Remember to checkout completely. Some events require a person to manually check your entries from the organiser, so you may have to wait a few minutes and check your emails for when your entry has been approved.
When you believe your entries are complete go back into the Account link, and Registrations will show you any entries made. If you click View against an entry it will take you to that event and show the entry made, please ensure that it now says “start-list” under Status, and nothing else like pending, or awaiting payment. Once it says start list then you know it is completed.
