Two Colchester Harriers’ athletes were selected to represent Essex County Athletics‎ Association in the Eight Counties competition at Bromley on Sunday.

Rebecca Jeggo had a busy afternoon in what was a strong field containing some of the UK’s top ranked sprinters. She was third in the 100m in a time 12.35s. In the 200m Rebecca went one better with a time of 24.97s, which was a legal personal best. She also ran the second leg in the 4 x 100m relay with Essex taking second place.

Hannah Watson ran in the 3000m. In the middle of a hot and humid day she ran well to record a B string second place and fifth place overall in the race with a time of 11:03:15m

‎Essex did not enter a Under 17 men’s team into this year’s event.
