The last two Castle 5kms have seen tremendous running from the Colchester Harriers . In the first it was a double victory for mark Harrod 17-39, and Laura Shewbridge 19-32, with Jon Nears runner up in 18-05, and Ged mcmillan 3rd in 18-23. Also in the top20 finishers of the 330 starters were 6 Ethan Thrower 18-41, 8 Harry Verala 18-47 (Pb), 9 Andy Raynor 18-50, 10 lee Hykel 18-51, 11 David Wright 18-54, 12 Danny Millward 19-19, and 18 Max Caulfield 19-48. Kelly Haniver was 2nd lady in 20-04, while Rob Lane ran a Personal best 23-22.

The latest Castle race saw another big battle between the Harriers. New signing Richard Heath was the victor in 17-18 outdoing Allen Smalls runner up in 17-29. Ged Mcmillan was 4th 18-11, with Ethan Throwe running a personal best 18-17 5th, Danny Millward was flying 18-53 8th, with Paul Rogers 9th 18-55, and David Wright 10th 18-58. Laura Shewbridge won again in 19-48 to record her 20th victory at the Castle, 5more then any other runner. Other notable times form the Harriers in the field of 263 were 129 Shanai Luckham 26-16 (Pb) , 135 Rachel Abbott 26-32,163 Rachel Sandercock 28-24,164 Kate Sandercock 28-24,191 Rachel Richardson- Wright 29-44,204 Fay Smalls 30-35, and 220 Jackson Runnicles 32-35.
