Double team wins for Harriers at Colchester 10km
Colchester Harriers surged to a double team win at the Colchester 10km held from their base at the Garrison track. Ramadam Osman was first home in 2nd spot clocking 33:16 on a warm and windy morning. Joining him in the winning team was Colin Ridley 3rd in 35:06 and Mark Harrod 6TH 35:57. Danny Millward 7th 36:18 and Paul Rodgers 10th 36:47 all ran well. The ladies were led home by Sarah Stradling who at last is back to racing winning in 38:26 with Laura Shewbridge 2nd 39:30 and Lucy Mapp 3rd 40:29. The ladies were obviously the team winners. There was age category awards for Mark Harrod, David Wright 40:11, Arthur Whiston 44:31, Andy Raynor 37:35 and John Wheatley 51:00.

Harwich 5km series
The Harwich evening 5km series got under way in reasonably good conditions along the sea front, Danny Millward was the fastest harrier on the night and second fastest overall in 17:15, Tom Cresswell 17:51 and Paul Preston 17:57 were in good form, while Andy Raynor ran a personal best 18:10. Laura Shewbridge was flying clocking a superb 18:51. Others to run were Sharon Frost 24:01, Joseph Boden 18:18 (PB), Aaron Marley 18:39, Keith Marley 18:28, Ady Frost 20:09, Steve Clark 22:09.
Maldon 5k series
At the Maldon 5km evening promenade run harriers Had a big turn out with Danny Millward again leading the way clocking 17.00 for 2nd placed, over 55 runner Colin Ridley is still at his best finishing 3rd in 17:04, then came Paul Rodgers 5th 17:45 and Aaron Marley 6th in a personal best 17:52. Helen Bloomfield was first lady in 20:04. Other Harriers were Doug McGill 18:11, Fergus Crouch 18:13, Keith Marley 18:31, Richard Boden 19:01, Robbie Smith 19:03, Richard Flutter 19:16, David Wright 19:30, Joseph Boden 20:04, Chris Manby 20:19, Simon Morgan 20:20, Chris Panton 20:45, Heather Rose 21:56, Nicola Martell-Smith 21:57, Jenny Richardson 23:14, Rachel Richardson-Wright 31:25.
Other races
Angus Holford swept to victory in the North Carolina State mile while working in the USA running a superb 4:28.
Rachel Rodgers did well at the Nuclear fall out race held in Kent a severe race with many obstacles, the winner was 2nd claim Harrier and Essex marathon champion Tristan Steed, who then repeated the event the next day .!
At the Park runs Chris Sellens won Great Cornard in 16:55, with Wayne cook 3rd 17:38, Tom Cresswell 4th 17:50 and Drew Olley 5th 18:31, Rob Gibby made a running come back in 20:01. Colchester Castle saw Anthony Barraclough 4th in 18:10, with Joseph Boden 8th 19:30, Helen Bloomfield was first lady in 20:17.Russel Goodridge was 3rd at the Mersea event with David Wright 4th, Chris Smith 5th and Simon Smith 6th, Fran Norris and Fay Smalls also ran well. Over 1000 runners took to the line at the Edgaston park run in Warwickshire, Rachel Richardson-Wright was 657th overall. Richardson-Wright then competed in the Wilmslow Triathlon.
