Millward is flying

The first summer Harwich handicap 5km had perfect conditions and some great times were ran by Colchester Harriers. 14 year old Danny Millward ran an astonishing 17:43, while Wayne Cook went through the line in a personal best time of 18:57. Paul Preston was also on top form in 17:57. Others to run were Dan Foster 18:52, Richard Boden 19:03, Simon Smith 19:06, Richard Millward 19:27, Ady Frost 19:49, John Wheatley 23:21 and Steve Clarke 22:50.

At Colchester Castle Park run 341 runners ran in the heat, with Carwyn Jones 1st home in 16:30. David Wright was 4th in 19:25, and Stacey Eyres 10th and first lady in 20:12, Rachel Dale was 2nd lady 20:56, and Jo martin 3rd lady 23:19. Also running were Andrew Dagge 23:02, Dan Mark 23:20, Fran Norris 23:31, Gavin Sandercock 24:11, Richard Boden 24:13, Oliver Saunders 24:14, Jasmine West 24:32, Fay Smalls 31:21, and Kate Sandercock 32:03.

At Cornard 5km Park run Wayne Cook was 3rd in 18:38 and Debbie Cattermole ran 23:28.

Chelmsford Park run saw Hannah Watson first lady in 20:29,

Elsewhere Rachel Richardson-Wright was 18th at the Mersea Island Duathlon.
