Ramsey 53-12 Cross Country league

53-12 Seniors

The 2nd round of the 53-12 Cross Country League was held in very dry conditions at Ramsey, a first for this venue. Colchester Harriers led from the first round at Abbeyfields and hoped to sneak a second victory here to extend their lead. But an injury to leading man Chris Sellens saw Harriers men finish 19pts behind Jaffa, and with the Harries ladies not at full strength, and also recording a second spot, the overall team victory went to Ipswich with Harriers runner up. So its all level going into Gosfield for round three this coming weekend.

Colchester Harriers Laura Shewbridge ran a blistering race to finish well clear of Springfields Samantha Bilby in the ladies event to record her second victory in two days following on from the Castle Park run.
