Barraclough and Shewbridge win Anniversary race

The second anniversary race of The Castle Park Run saw 283 runners out on a cold spring morning. Harriers celebrated by supplying the mens and ladies winners in Anthony Barraclough 17-41 and Laura Shewbridge 20-14. Colchester Harriers also had a further 5men in the top 10 with 2 Ethan Thrower (Pb)18-25, 4 Lee Hykel 18-37, 7 David Wright 19-07, 9 Ged McMillan 19-22, and 10 Danny Millward 19-24. Other Harriers were 13 Simon Taylor 19-42, 15 Harry Varela 20-00, 19 Max Caulfield 20-06, 23 Andy Raynor 20-22,26 Ziggy Lambton 20-38, 29 Arthur Whiston 20-42, 32 Richard Millward 20-47, 62 Oliver Saunders 22-39, 66 Kate Priestley 22-55, 83 John Wheatley 23-38,91 Hannah Rogers 24-01,92 Paul Rogers 24-02, Jackson Runicles ran a personal best 31-21.

Jon Nears won the Chelmsford Park run in a personal best of 17-19, while Rob Gibbys return to form continued coming home 8th in 18-44.

Colchester Harriers supplied the marshals and pacers for the latest Park run where 279 runners competed. A few of the Harriers youngsters ran well with Lee Hykel 8th,Max Caulfield 9th, Ziggy Lampton 10TH, and Hannah Watson 2nd female home.

Finchingfield Gauntlet

Martyn Clarke ran the Finchingfield Gauntlet muddy 12km an off road event and finished 3rd overall.
