Ramadam Osman scorched to victory in the hilly Dedham 10km in 33:31, with team mate Joe Alaxandra 3rd 35:10 on his full debut for the green vests. Richard Heath was 4th ( 1st Veteran ) 35:25, just pipping team mate Nathan Filer 5th 35:26 on the line, to give the Harriers a comfortable team victory over Ipswich Jaffa. Racewalker Daniel king showed what a superb runner he is finishing 6th in 35:27, then came Keith Marley 11th 37:55 and Richard Flutter 12th 38:48. Richard Boden was 2nd veteran over 50 and 14th overall in 39:27, Craig Mitchell just got into the top 20 in 40:24. Others to finish were Kevin HiggIns 41:29, David Hilson 43:09, Oliver Saunders 49:52 and Paul and Rachel Rodgers 1:00:31. In the 3km event Malcolm Statham was 2nd overall and first veteran.

Other Results

Chris Panton ran the tough San Francisco 50km ran over endless beach and hills and finishing at the Golden Gate bridge. With 450m climb early on it was hard going for the runner. Panton was in good form finishing 15th in 6 hours 5 minutes over the course that boosted 1844m of climb.

The Hull park run at the Humber Bridge saw Debbie Cattermole first lady in 22:20 on a muddy off road course. Harriers had good success at other park events With Rebecca Cooke 1st at Colchester Castle in 20:08 and Andrea James runner up 21:26, Alice Addison was 4th 21:55, while James Wright 17:50 and Andy Jobling 17:55 were the first two men home with Andy Raynor 6th 19:18, Nicolas Kricka 7th in a personal best 19:42, with David Wright 8th also in 19:42. Chris Manby ran well in 9th 19:48 and Simon Smith crept into the top ten in 19:58. John Wheatley celebrated his 75th birthday with a run 27:14 although suffering from injury.

Tom Cresswell was the winner at Great Cornard in 17:56, with Wayne Cook 3rd 18:09 and Drew Olley 6th 18:13. Mark Harrod swept to victory at Mersea in 18:27, Paul Rodgers coming back from injury was runner up in 19:33 and Simon Miller 15th 23:41.

Rachel Richardson-Wright finished in 1:53 in the Manchester sprint Triathlon and finished 31st in the Dolgellau park run in Mid Wales.
