Provisional 2020 Results (Updated Monday 5:15pm)

UKA Licence number : 2020-40191

Colchester Harriers Junior Road Relays will take place on Sunday 15th March 2020 at 10am, starting and finishing at Garrison Track Circular Road North, Colchester. The unmeasured 2.5km circuit is almost entirely on paving, with a start/changeover/finish on the athletics track.

Route

The race will start on the athletics track at 10am, athletes will run around part of the track, then exit the grounds, onto the main path around Abbey Fields, run a paved loop of just over 2km, before re-entering the track to run another 100m, and then passing over to the next athlete in their team, or finishing in the case of the final athlete. The loop measured 2.52km on our garmin test.

Race entries

Entries are now closed.

Team declarations may be changed until Friday 13th March 2020.

Entries from affiliated clubs will be accepted in the following road age categories, U11, U13, U15. Entrants will have their own individual number on the front of their club vest/top, and an age indicator (11/13/15/M) on their back. This will provide athletes, officials, and spectators, more information during the race. We will also allow Mixed Age and Gender teams to enter, to allow more athletes to take part, rather than clubs having reserves left over in different categories, any mixed teams will not qualify for awards.

Note: The Age Group is the same as the current XC Season age for the athletes. So for example, if your athlete is currently U17 for T&F, but still U15 for XC, then they would be U15 for this event. You can view your athletes Road Age Group, by visiting the Power of 10 website, and searching their name.

Parking

There will be limited parking (about 50 spaces) available at the small car park next to the track. The main car parking area being used is to the rear of the track, which can accommodate around 350 vehicles, and is accessed via Circular Road East, which is off Napier Road. The car parking locations are shown on the Course Map below.

Awards

Awards will be presented to the 1st placed team in each of the following categories, U11G, U11B, U13G, U13B, U15G, U15B. There are no awards for Mixed Teams. We would hope to commence the awards at 11:05am, once the Senior race has left the track.

We have not included Road U17 athletes in the Junior Relays, as they are able to compete in Open teams in the Essex Senior Road Relays that commence at 11am, as they have also been able to, over recent years.
